High and Lows

Speaking of success: With one matchday left, it seems like Fredrik Stenman’s german club Bayer Leverkusen will play international, ending the season as 5th. They are three points ahead of Berlin with a +10 goaldifference. The past 6 games, Stenman played fulltime and recieved lots of positive feedback from the fans.

On the southcoast of England, Alexander Östlund finished the season with 90 minutes for the first time after his low form. He also kept a clean sheet and hopes to become a regular again, just like some fans hope. Oh and Michael Svensson got a 6 month deal for next season to prove that he still can play well after his bad luck with injuries.

In Greece, someone is also hoping for a start for the final game next sunday. The last month, Mikael Nilsson struggled to get his place in the first team back.

According to the bbc, Aston Villa’s boss “David O’Leary rested [Milan Baros and] Olof Mellberg ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals.” Alright.

Last but not least of this little defender update is Erik Edman, who was looking forward to return to the pitch before the end of the season, but time is running out. Maybe we hear more about his progress during the week.
