Isaksson and Ljungberg Injured

February 28th, 2006 | By: Nicke | No Comments »

Andreas Isaksson injured his knee again during yesterdays practice in Dublin. The tall keeper has injured his knee four times this season and has not been able to practice more than a few consecutive weeks in Rennes. Our backup keepers are all much less skilled then Isaksson and it would be difficult for Sweden if an injury stops him in the World Cup.

Fredrik Ljungberg will not be able to play against Ireland because of calf injury that Ljungberg suffered against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Ljungberg is injured almost every time Sweden plays a friendly game so there is no reason for Swedish fans to be worried.
