Nice Weekend

March 6th, 2006 | By: Nicke | No Comments »

After the disaster in Dublin several Swedish players showed this weekend that they still can play football. Elmander and Källström who were two players that should be embarrassed with their performance in Dublin both scored for their team. Henrik Larsson scored for Barcelona in their 3-2 victory over Deportivo La Coruna, Larsson has now scored in three consecutive league games.

Marcus Rosenberg had two assists when Ajax won with 6-0 and was congratulated by his coach. Best of all this weekend was Fredrik Ljungberg who didn’t play against Ireland due to an injury. Ljungberg showed that he still is a world class player and dominated when Arsenal beat Fulham with 4-0 in English PL. Unlucky Alexander Ostlund only played 10 minutes for Southampton before he was injured.
