No Rooney or Owen
England might have to play without Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen against Sweden and that gives us a much better chance. Their third best attacker is not even close to being as good as any of them two. Jermain Dafoe has more problem than Ibrahimovic to score, Darius Vassel has not showed anything this season, and Peter Crouch is very limited and does not scare me, the only defender he might get past is Östlund. Ericsson’s best choice is in my opinion Andy Johnson in Crystal Palace and if England would have to play with an attacker from a lower league then we can use Östlund without being embarrassed.

I’m not so confident. Melberg’s form is dreadful at the moment. He looked out of his depth against Liverpool at the weekend. Not a shadow of his former self. And as for Östlund. Well he is all heart. But that’s about it.
I can definitely see Crouch causing problems because there’s much more to his game than his height.

So you are happy with their problems? If Sweden want to be in the elite of football they must be able to win strong teams in their full strenght, right?
Sweden have potential! Remember EUA 94? That was a scary moment to us Brazilians! Now it’s not the time to wish bad luck for your enemies.

I think that we will beat England even if they have all their best player. But if there is someone that make their team less powerfull it is Rooney. The only one that i feel sorry for is Rooney’s uncle.

England needs Rooney more than Owen. The latter is overrated. He has never won player of the world of the year. But it would be nice to have both players in Germany.
