Svensson feeling the pressure
Spare a thought for Anders Svensson. The Swedish press have really laid into the lad since Saturday.
Sure, I’m not the biggest Svesson fan and, personally, I do think Kim Källström is the right man to give Sweden the drive it needs going forward. But I don’t like seeing anyone struggling to cope with the pressure.
Here in Stockholm I think so many people felt the Soca Warriors would be a walk over match. So when Sweden didn’t win everyone’s hope fizzled away. These things, however, can quickly change. A victory against Paraguay will restore the carnival atmosphere.

its incredible to me that kim isn’t starting. in the limited time he did play he had an immediate impact on the game – forcing the ball quickly forward, looking to make the dangerous pass and although he didn’t show he has the ability to take people on and get to goal. laggerback would do well to understand for the swedes to win they need to score often.
especially against a weaker offensive team like T&T where there was no real danger Kim would have been the extra push that would have gotten the Swedes into the T&T net
i hope Laggerback doesn’t make the same mistake twice against Portugal.

It’s not strange that Kim had had an immediate impact on the game and forcing the ball quickly forward… He came in when it was only 15 min left. Thus, he had not played for 75 min in 30 degrees of celcius.
