Sweden defeat defending euro champs Greece, 2-0
Sweden win 2-0 against Greece in their opening match for the euro. Sweden played well and dominated the game in almost every fashion. Zlatan Ibrahimovic started the scoring in 67th minute with a rocket of a shot past the greek goalie. About 5 minutes later petter hansson got a tight ball between the goalie and tapped the ball past Antonis Nikopolidis’s for a 2-0 sweden lead. Sweden dominated the midfield and played good defense. Sweden`s next game is wednesday at 20:45 euro time against spain. Sweden and spain are at the top of the group with 3 points each heading in to next week’s deathmatch.

Greetings and congratulations in order to Sweden and Zlatan’s team;
You played with determination, flair, and heart. The Greeks are utterly disappointed, not with the loss, but with the way we barely played and failed to control the ball. I think Sweden iwll go far. Russia is a guaranteed win, maybe Spain as well. In any case, I see Sweden and Spain emergin from the group stage. Enjoy the ride and good luck!

Z-Z-Zuper Zuper Zuperman! All hail Zlatan. That is all.

Excelent, Ibra! Congratulation for you and your team….
I’m from Indonesia, hope your team to be champion.

What about Daniel Andersson, who would have thought that he would play in Euro2008 and do it well?

“Sweden`s next game is wednesday at 20:45 euro time against spain”
It’s on saturday actually.

Exciting times for the Swedish national team! Love the drama of euro fotboll and love Sverige and hope to see the Swedes go all the way at the EuroCup! Also hope that I’ll be able to actually watch some of the matches and not just read the highlights (I’m in San Francisco).
Lycka till Sverige!
Lisa
