Swedes Like Lantz

A campaign in a Swedish newspaper showed that a majority of the readers would like to se Brondby midfielder Marcus Lantz in the national team. The question was raised when legendary Michael Laudrup said that he would select Lantz in the Swedish NT and that he is as good as Tobias Linderoth in FC Copenhagen.

Lantz has previously criticized the selection and stated that it is surprising that he doesn’t get the chance to prove that he belong in the national team, this has proved to be the best way to make sure that you never get the chance. Lagerback is known to rather select mediocre players that keep quite then better players with a big mouth; the most famous example is magnificent Pär Zetterberg who Lagerback and his former co-worker Tommy Soderberg never liked.
