To be or not to be?

May 24th, 2006 | By: Jon | 3 Comments »

The big question for many Swedes is whether “Anders Svensson or Kim Källström?” should be given the nod.

Lars Lagerbäck and Roland Andersson’s answer seems to be Källström. Well, at least as far as Thursday’s friendly is concerned.

Källström won’t get a better chance to make the midfield position his ahead of Sweden’s opening match in Group B against Trinidad and Tobago on June 10.

Despite Källström’s excellent form for Rennes this season, doubts must remain over whether he can muster up the goods on an international stage. Despite his, er, failings Anders Svensson will always be remembered for that goal against Argentina.

I’d field Källström. He’s the better alround player by far.

I think he showed that against Finland today. He looked confident and creative going forward. He’s class.

if källström isnt in the starting lineup on june 10th, i would be very surprised and very angry. those crossballs are decisive if youre gonna cut through the opponents fast and lethal
