My name is Nicke and I am living in Sweden. The first memories I have of soccer is from the World Cup 86 when the fantastic Danish team beat Uruguay with 6-1, after that I have followed every World Cup and European Championship with great interest. In 2000 I finally was able to attend at a major championship when I went to Holland to follow my Swedish team. Even if Sweden made three terrible matches I thought the trip and the championship was fantastic. The best memories are when we watched the Dutch games at pubs with hundreds of fanatic and friendly orange Dutchmen.

This year I will travel to my first World Cup where I think Holland will win the final against Italy. The tournament will be dominated by European teams and Sweden will make it to the quarter finals together with five or six other European teams, Brazil and eventually Argentina.

I am happy when Blackburn, Real Betis, PSV Eindhoven, Lyon and Juventus win their matches. My childhood heroes are Frank Arnesen, Zico, Lothar Matthäus, and Stefan Schwarz. Now my favorite players are Lucio, Materazzi, Freddie Ljungberg and Cocu.

[...] For part 13 of the series, I caught up with Nicklas Andersson from Sweden. Nicke is 27 years old, lives in Sweden and follows the domestic league and the national team closely. He attended his first big championship in 2000 when he went to Euro 2000 in Holland/Belgium. Sweden was a big disappointment but the atmosphere was fantastic and he knew then, when he returned home, that this was just the first of many visits at big championships. [...]
